In den Vorgärten Barcelonas hat sich Marco vor dem Berliner Spätsommer versteckt. Dort hat er vom Baum der Kreativität genascht und uns die Upon You 007 mitgebracht. Mit “Traffic Circle” ist ihm ein 360 Grad Gemälde Katalaniens entsprungen, das den Geruch des Sommers in den leidenschaftlichen Farben von House malt. “Candle Dipper” dagegen spielt mit dem Feuer der Nacht, das in den Herzen der barfüßigen Tänzer lodert. The Upon You 006 is the birth hour of the Berlin duo Fraenzen Texas and Ruede Hagelstein. Knowing each other since early childhood they started their dj career together in Berlin. By now they are resident dj’s in the Watergate Club and the two build their studio into the epicentre of the Upon You empire, so it is not surprising that the cheapers has become the first own label-act. Related to the style of their dj sets that they prefer to play in ping-pong fashion, the Fog & Frogs E.P. is focusing on the contrast between dark shallows, hypnotic currents and enlightening moments full of fantasies and plenty of inanities. Two tracks that stand for the amplitude of their future productions.

Time for an Upon You Records air show: Marcus Meinhardt is calling all passengers for boarding! The paper plane’s maiden flight with the deep groaning of the bass-propeller is already causing excitement on the runway. Almost unnoticed his elegant dance-bomber is gaining altitude and is safely lifting off the dance-floor. Cleverly he is piloting on all routes from A1 to B2 to all dream destinations of his productive studio discoveries and is intercepting wanted turbulences with elegant screws. As known, he is using for his uplift the range between techno and house, in which he is in every situation a more than reliable captain. And so flight number UY005 is ready for take-off.
